Courtney Cavanagh, a Boston native, grew up dabbling in theatre but ultimately thew herself into sports during high school. She attended Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science from the College of Visual and Performing Arts. After graduation, she moved to New York City and finally grew the balls to begin pursuing a career in acting. She played Maura Sullivan on Season 4 of NBC’s “Chicago Fire” and guest stars on Lifetime’s “I Love You But I Lied”. Her work in the films “Standing Eight” and “Terminal Legacy; Lost Souls” has earned her Best Actress nominations in the NY film festival circuit. She has booked principal roles in national commercials for Heineken, GMC, and Verizon.
Post pandemic, Courtney made the move to the Southeast to expand her work in the Atlanta TV & Film market. Her most recently booking s have been on the Lionsgate film, “The Valet” and the Paramount + miniseries, “George and Tammy”. She is fascinated by what life outside NYC offers such as fresh air, full sized appliances, and the foreign concept of “storage”. Mind boggling. When not auditioning or working, she’s with her best friend - her Australian Shepherd “Disco”, binging True Crime podcasts, and searching for the classiest ways to pair boxed red wine with Ben & Jerry’s pints.
